Bolter: EA Sports reveals Usain FIFA19 plan

//

Usain Bolt will be given the No.1 ranking for pace on EA Sports FIFA 19, should he be given a professional contract with Central Coast Mariners.

EA Sports has confirmed Bolt will be added into the game during its northern winter update, and he may be included as a free agent even if he can’t agree terms with a pro club.

Bolt is negotiating with the Mariners and has knocked back an offer of a two-year deal with a club in Malta. The club has said a contract will not be signed ahead of their season opener against Brisbane on Sunday.

“There is a lot of interest in Usain playing football,” his manager Ricky Simms told ESPN. “We regularly receive similar approaches. I can confirm Usain does not wish to pursue this opportunity in Malta.”

Veteran player Matt Simon says Bolt has made an impact since arriving at Central Coast.

“I’m not too sure with what’s all happening with Usain,” Simon said. “It’s probably a question for the CEO.

“Look, he’s been great to have around the change room He’s done well. The improvement that he’s had over the course of the eight or nine weeks that he’s been here has been immense.

“The boys have enjoyed him being here.

“Obviously you can see the difference in the standard of the game (between Saturday’s trial and the A-League) but it’s no discredit to him. He’s gone out and done well and he scored two goals.

“So it’s a credit to him to go out and do that and I think everyone hasn’t stopped talking about it.

“So good on him and we move on to round one.”

EA Sports told Fox Sports Asia Bolt would automatically be added to their game if he joins the Mariners.

“Yes, he will also be the fastest player in the game,” the spokesman said.

Player attributes are rated out of 100 in the game, although 99 is considered the maximum.

The two men who share top billing for pace are French wonderkid Kylian Mbappe, of Paris Saint-Germain, and Wolves winger Adama Traoré, who are both rated at 96.

Speculation has already begun over how Bolt's other attributes might stack up.
