How to breakdown the Wildcats: 'Homicide'

//

The Wildcats got a big win, it was a gutsy performance and they got it done. You know, it went to double over-time. Terrico White had a huge game. Bryce Cotton, did what he did. Damian Martin played great defence. Angus Brandt, a man among boys on those boards. 20 rebounds, that’s an incredible performance. When they’re rolling like that, they’re a tough team to breakdown.

You got to take care of the ball and you've got to box them out. Bryce Cotton is always going to get his, he’s a star. So what you have to do is try your best at slowing him down, get physical off the ball, trap him and try get the ball out of his hands. You have to rebound the ball, you HAVE to rebound the ball when you’re playing the Wildcats. When you think Angus Brandt, 20 rebounds, you know that can’t happen. So you got to own the rebounds, you got to take care of the ball and you’ve got to slow Cotton down. And that will put you in a position to win the game like United. And Melbourne United did a great job of doing that.

Sydney on the move

The Kings are off and rolling, we’re going. As we said before, this team just needed to believe. They got a good win on the road and they’ve backed it up with another gutsy performance against Cairns. It went to overtime and they’ve shown that they can get it done. That they can win. You know, it was a close game, and you can’t afford to miss baskets and this went to an extra period, so credit to them.

It was great to see Lisch playing like that. That’s the Lich they were hoping to get. Knocking down shots and playing ball.

Bogut's refereeing gripe

The referees have to adjust. I mean of course. Andew’s coming from the league where there are athletic 7-footers and legitimate big man and these referees aren’t accustomed to reffing those big guys. These referees aren’t used to it. And I think they need to be a little more lenient especially with him because. They need to feel the game a bit better. And everybody needs to adjust.

Goulding suffers knee injury

United lose Goulding

If Chris Goulding played in that game the outcome is different. Shooting the ball, the way he was shooting it he was incredibly. At the buzzer-beater, United runs out, they win that. But that’s not what happened. Very unfortunate that he got injured and hopefully he’ll be okay.
