Indian bowler's humiliating Kohli moment

//

If you ever needed a demonstration of the extraordinary power Virat Kohli wields over the India cricket team, paceman Jasprit Bumrah just produced the goods.

Bumrah was delivering the first ball of the fourth over in India's opening T20 match against Australian when Aussie captain Aaron Finch blasted a catch to Kohli at cover. It was firmly struck but very catchable ... and Kohli put it down, perhaps clipping his hat with his fingers at a crucial moment.

So what did Bumrah do? He quickly shelved his disappointment and gave Kohli a clap (watch in the video above).

Finch was on six at the time and went on to make 27, in a match that Australia won by just four runs.

FOX Sports commentators mused, jokingly, that Bumrah was being careful to keep his spot for the next match.

While Kohli was given a round of applause by Bumrah for the costly drop, fellow seamer Khaleel Ahmed was not so lucky. He dropped Marcus Stoinis at third man off Bumrah on the first ball of the 17th over, and copped an angry roar for the effort.

Kohli had a tough night, dismissed for just four with the bat off the bowling of Adam Zampa.
