A-League security left red-faced by hobbled streaker

//

The security at Central Coast Stadium has been left red-faced after the unlikeliest of streakers managed to enter the field of play during a clash involving Sydney FC.

Streakers have become commonplace at sporting events around the world, but this streaker somehow managed to breach the security team's defences while sporting a moon boot and walking on crutches.

The man, who was wearing the Australian one day shirt, was easily corralled by the security who then struggled to escort him off the field due to his injuries.

While the incident proved to be one of the most hilarious in Australian sports this year, it did bring into question just how the wounded fan was able to enter the pitch.

Fox Sports commentators Simon Hill and Robbie Slater were also left scratching their heads at how streaker managed to enter the pitch.

"He's not the fastest pitch invader we've ever seen," Hill said.

"The question remains: why is he here? How, on crutches, did he get there?

"Some pretty slack stewarding if a man on crutches on a moon boot is able to get from the stands onto the pitch."

Following the incident, fans on social media were also left amazed by the exploits of the streaker.
