Dickson outshines NFL stars with 'sexy' kicking

//

If there was any contention over the ground-swell of fan support over Australian punting sensation Michael Dickson’s NFL pro-bowl bid, then the former AFL prospects performance against the San Fransisco 49ers on Monday is bound to shut it down.

In a season that only seems to go from strength to strength, Dickson lit up Sunday night football with big-time plays characteristic of an NFL veteran in the Seahawks’ 26-23 overtime loss to the 49ers.

The Aussie first cannoned a 38-yard bomb that landed at the 2-yard line before perfectly holding up to be downed by the Seattle special teams unit.

Not a minute later he backed that up with a 41-yard missile that downed at the 2-yard line.

Michael Dickson

Dickson finished his night with eight punts with an average of 53.3 yards, including a massive 65-yarder, and three inside 20s.

They’re the type of numbers becoming all too familiar in Dickson’s rookie season the Aussie punter begins his transition from a cult-hero to a legitimate NFL superstar. And like clockwork, the grid-iron world rushed Twitter to celebrate the feat.
