BBL stars' heartwarming moment with young fan

//

Hobart Hurricanes star George Bailey and Sydney Thunder all-rounder Daniel Sams have been involved in a heartwarming moment with a young BBL fan.

The young boy was hit with the ball late in the Hurricanes' innings after George Bailey hit a six into the crowd.

Play was stopped briefly as the crowd and the players tended to the youngster who was left in tears, with the team doctor also checking in on him.

Luckily for everyone involved, the boy appeared to have escaped any major injuries and his spirits were lifted immediately after Sams went into the crowd to hand him a signed cap.

Following his innings of 53 off just 35 deliveries, Bailey too went to pay the young fan a visit, handing him a pair of his gloves.

Bailey was involved in a 94-run partnership with Ben McDermott (44 not out) as the pair propelled the Hurricanes to a formidable score of 4/165 off 19 overs after a brief rain delay.
