Blues skipper's remarkable NFL-style AFLX goal

//

Carlton co-captain Patrick Cripps has provided the moment of the 2019 AFLX tournament with a remarkable NFL-style goal attempt.

Cripps was nominated to be Team Rampage's 'Gatorade Game Changer' during their clash against Eddie Betts' Team Deadly, and he enlisted the help of team captain Jack Riewoldt to kick the goal.

With Team Rampage down by seven points, Cripps and Riewoldt wanted to make sure of the goal and mimicked the penalty conversions in the NFL as Riewoldt placed the ball on the turf before the Blues star converted.

Following the kick, Cripps revealed that it was a pre-game ploy between he and his captain.

"I don't watch much rugby, but we talked about it pregame to have fun," Cripps told the commentary team.
