Ben Barba set to hand himself in to police

//

Disgraced former NRL player Ben Barba will tomorrow hand himself into Queensland police over the alleged incident involving himself and his partner on Australia Day.

Barba was sacked by his club to North Queensland Cowboys after officials viewed CCTV which allegedly showed Barba throwing rocks at his partner.

According to Nine News, Barba’s partner will not to make a complaint against him which means he will only be charged with a public nuisance type offence.

A furious Barba told Nine News this afternoon he had “lost everything” and that he was going to be “charged with nothing" while threatening to hurt Nine News reporter Tim Arvier.

Senior police have told Nine News they are disappointed that a complaint should not be made but that was the choice of Barba’s partner.
