Gaff and Brayshaw's classy pre-game exchange

//

Andrew Gaff and Andrew Brayshaw have shared a heart-warming moment prior to the West Coast Eagles' JLT Series clash against Fremantle.

Gaff and Brayshaw met each other in the middle of the field to shake hands in the pair's first meeting on an AFL ground since last year's brutal altercation which saw the Eagle suspended.

Despite the graphic nature of the clash between the pair, which left the Dockers youngster needing stitches, the pair have gradually worked to repair their relationship with Brayshaw's brother Hamish, who is Gaff's teammate, helping to mend fences.

In the lead-up to the clash, Brayshaw had admitted that he would look to meet Gaff prior to the match.

"If I start on (the ground), I would probably like to and I am sure he would like to do something similar," he said mid-week.

"We will definitely get in touch post game and wish each other luck for the rest of the year I think."

The incident between the pair ended both of their seasons, with Gaff receiving an eight-match ban for his punch and ultimately missing his side's Grand Final win over Collingwood.

Brayshaw was forced into having corrective surgery on his teeth and jaw and missed the remainder of his debut season.
