Hamilton's bromance burn for Daniel Ricciardo

//

Daniel Ricciardo got lumped with the nickname 'Daniel Avocado' by a kid at the Australian Grand Prix, and Lewis Hamilton is running with it.

An interview with a young fan at Albert Park, who said he was supporting 'Daniel Avocado' for the race, went viral last weekend. Hamilton came up with a tasty burn to keep the nickname running.

Renault ace Ricciardo was happy to play along, posting this response on Instagram to the five-time world champion.

Ricciardo and Hamilton have enjoyed a good relationship during their F1 careers, despite the Aussie being a genuine rival to the Mercedes star on race weekends during his time with Red Bull.

Mercedes offered its blessing for the bromance.

Ricciardo suffered a miserable debut for Renault in Melbourne, losing his front wing near the start line before eventually retiring from the race. The Australian will hope for better fortunes at the season's second grand prix, in Bahrain next weekend.
