Broncos' shock switch for grudge match

//

Broncos coach Anthony Seibold is considering taking a daring gamble in tomorrow night’s massive grudge match against Souths at ANZ Stadium.

The under-pressure coach has had specialist back-rower Jaydn Su'A training in the hooking spot and is set to use him in the key dummyhalf role at stages of the match.

The Broncos haven’t been happy with the early-season form of hooker Andrew McCullough.

The veteran has played almost every minute of every game for the Broncos in the opening seven rounds but has lacked zip out of dummyhalf.

He has been among the club’s hardest workers in defence but offered little in attack in the club’s spluttering 2-5 start to the year.

Wide World of Sports spies spotted Su’A in the dummyhalf role during training this week in a clear indication that he will spend time at number nine during the game.

The 21-year-old is faster and younger than McCullough and could provide the Broncos with the spark that has been missing - despite his lack of experience at hooker in the top grade.
