Stunning McCarthy mark headlines Lions win

//

New Brisbane Lions recruit Lincoln McCarthy has taken what might be the Mark of the Year as the Lions continued their fantastic start to the 2019 season.

McCarthy's incredible grab came in the Lions forward pocket and left his teammate Mitch Robinson with his hands on his head in a seesawing contest.

With the Power holding a two point lead in the final minutes of the contest, the Lions came home with a wet sail to eventually run out 16. 11. (107) to 13. 12. (90) winners at the Gabba.

Star midfielder Lachie Neale also continued his prolific start to the season, finishing with 43 disposals including 28 handballs to lead all players, while Eric Hipwood finished with six goals.

The loss to Brisbane ended Port Adelaide's perfect start to the season but the club will be encouraged by the performance of first-year star Connor Rozee who finished with five goals and 21 disposals.
