Cowboys lead QLD in NRL after drama filled week

//

The Cowboys have become the highest placed Queensland team on the NRL ladder after seeing off Gold Coast 22-15 on Friday night.

Jason Taumalolo’s return from a medial knee injury was all the talk ahead of the match and the forward made his presence known early, barrelling over the line shortly after Jake Granville’s solo effort in the opening moments.

Coach Paul Green’s tenure at the Cowboys was thrown into question this week after reports emerged several of his playing group had become disaffected with his coaching style.

If ever the Cowboys needed a win this season, tonight was the night, and they banded together emphatically too see off an inform Titans outfit and quell the conjecture over their coach.

Cowboys see off Titans

MORE TO COME.
