'Knock your a-- out': NBA legends go at it

//

While the NBA playoffs have been riveting, the action off the court has been just as entertaining with usual cast of characters throwing shade at each other in typical fashion.

Four-time NBA champion Shaquille O’Neal and fellow NBA fellow great Charles Barkley have clashed numerous times during their popular studio show Inside the NBA with fellow co-hosts Kenny Smith and Ernie Johnson, but this time the Big Diesel didn’t take too kindly to the ribbing he copped from his contemporaries.

O’Neal lost his patience with Barkley in a segment during coverage of the conference semi-finals double-header, accusing “The round mound of rebound” of hogging proceedings when breaking down the action and not letting him add his expert opinion to the coverage.

Barkley couldn’t contain his laughter as he accused Shaq of being “sensitive” and as you can imagine the 213cm NBA legend wasn’t having it.

“I ain’t no Mr Sensitive. Do it again, I’m telling you right now,” O’Neal told Barkley.

“I ain’t sensitive, I am going to knock you’re a-- out.

“It’s supposed to be one, two, three. Not one, two, back to one, dumba--.

“Kenny, I’m not in the mood for jokes, I’m telling you.”

While Shaq seemed to be taking things seriously, his demeanour softened once the other co-hosts kept laughing.

Barkley kept laughing along with his colleagues and encouraged Shaq to say what he wanted to about the on-court action, but he refused.

“I’m going to throw this metal damn can at you’re a--,” he said.

Of course Shaq did nothing of the sort and has never acted on the numerous threats his thrown Chuck’s way, yet that’s what makes Inside the NBA one of the most popular shows in the US.
