KO'd Frizell in doubt for Origin

//

St George Illawarra star Tyson Frizell might be in doubt for State of Origin I after being knocked out in Sunday afternoon's NRL clash with Cronulla in Wollongong.

Frizell picked up a loose ball late in the first half and clashed heads with Josh Dugan, before being ruled out for the rest of the game.

The back-rower was on the ground receiving treatment for a number of minutes before being taken down the tunnel. He failed an HIA when in the sheds.

NSW coach Brad Fittler said he checked in with Frizell and confirmed the forward was feeling ok and didn't seem to have an injury to his jaw, as was suggsted in the broadcast.

The Dragons' forward was considered a certainty to be named immediately after the match in the NSW team for game one.

It follows a concussion to would-be debutant Luke Keary, along with injuries to two players hopeful of recalls in Mitchell Pearce and Adam Reynolds.
