India top order crumbles in dramatic collapse

//

New Zealand seamers Matt Henry and Trent Boult have sparked a dramatic Indian batting collapse to blow their World Cup semi final wide open.

India's top order crumbled to 4-24 after 10 overs as three wickets to Henry, plus the crucial scalp of Virat Kohli claimed by Boult, left the top ranked side reeling.

Record-breaking opener Rohit Sharma (1) was the first to go, edging a delivery from Henry to wicket keeper Tom Latham.

Kohli (1) then followed, trapped in front by Boult in a decision upheld by the DRS as an "Umpires Call", much to the Indian skipper's frustration.

KL Rahul (1) also edged a delivery from Henry behind to leave India in tatters at 3-5.

Neesham's one-hander gets Karthik

A brief fightback from Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik (6) was thwarted by a stunning Jimmy Neesham catch at backward point, diving full stretch to his left to pluck the ball from the air with one hand.

Pant was fortunate to receive a life of his own at 4-36 when chipping Lockie Ferguson's first delivery straight to Neesham at midwicket, who grassed a simple chance.
